My Journey

Sarah Maturin-Baird

I have trained and apprenticed in Sacred Drum Medicine and Shamanic Healing, including studies in many shamanic traditions. I have accreditation with the College of Sound Healing in the UK. I am also a member of The Mid Wales Guild of Holistic Therapists.

I am a Ceremonial Pipe carrier, a Sacred Circle holder, a Creative Medicine holder and a Mixed Media Artist.

This medicine path; combining Shamanic healing with sound, vibration and creative arts, speaks to me loudly in these times of change.

Through the drum we can access an ancient way of healing and it is my great honour to carry forward, in some small way, the teachings of renowned Medicine Man Wallace Black Elk. I combine his wisdom with other Shamanic teachings, bringing a unique aspect to my work.

I have returned to my homeland of Mid Wales, leaving the Island of Gozo behind. Gozo had been my home for over 10 years, a magical island,  where I learnt so much about the temples, the mystical and unseen realms.   I had an art studio and healing space, tucked away in the old city of Rabat. It became a  hub for the extraordinary people who lived there and those drawn to the island from afar. I now have a Healing Hut in Mid Wales and Healing Tipi in East Anglia and move between the two. Distant healing makes up a large part of my work, so it matters not where you live in the world.

Since being back in Wales I have become immersed with, co creating with, the Spirits of this land, the ancestors, animal and plant spirit aliies, the folklore. Bringing further depth to my work.
